By Maria Estaphanos

After weeks of hinting to fans around the world about her new album 30 by projecting the number 30 across global landmarks such as Rome’s Colosseum, the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, and the side of the Brooklyn Bridge, Adele has confirmed that new music is just around the corner, being released November 19th everywhere.

After six years of waiting, fans finally got a taste of her new album on October 15, 2021 with the release of the song “Easy On Me”. Jadyn Hughes heard the song the day it was released and was not disappointed.

“The song was worth the hype it got on social media and built up to the expectation, it sounds a lot like her old music so it wasn’t a let down,” he said.

It is no surprise that her song debuted atop the Billboard Global music chart, with 125.6 million streams and hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Her drop trended on TikTok and many other social media sites, which allowed fans to share their reaction.

During her recent Instagram Live a fan asked her what the album is about and she replied “Divorce babe, divorce!” The singer finalized her divorce to Simon Konecki, in January of 2021 according to BAZAAR magazine.

Adele’s new album will feature the songs “Strangers by Nature”, “Easy on Me”, “My Little Love”, and “Cry Your Heart Out” among many more. Her song titles made it clear the album is about love and heartbreak.

Most of Adele’s fans grew up listening to her big hits. “Growing up my parents used to play her a lot, they played “Hello”, “Skyfall’, “Someone Like You”, etc and loved her so I started liking her too,” said Sarah Ginty about how her love for Adele started.

In a recent Instagram post Adele shows her gratitude and inspiration for the album, saying, “That friend who, no matter what, checked in on me even though I’d stop checking in with them because I’d become so consumed by my own grief. I’ve painstakingly rebuilt my house and my heart since then and this album narrates it. Home is where the heart is.”

“It’s definitely going to be a big album and people will be raving about it for a couple months because she hasn’t released anything in a while, social media will probably have a big impact on the albums popularity so I feel like that’s why it’s going to do good. This will definitely be a big release,” states Anna Froehlich, a college student who has never been a fan of Adele.

With the popularity of her first single “Easy on Me” it is nearly impossible for this album to not be big. With so many interviews, release dates, music videos, and possibly a new tour, Adele and her fans have been keeping a busy schedule, but no one will be missing the release of 30.
