Hot New Movies Hit Summer’s Big Screens

This summer is supposed to be a hot one, so why not spend some of it indoors? Enjoy some of the new movies coming out this summer.

“King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” — Now in Theaters

This fast-paced retelling of the classic tale of King Arthur has been consistently promoted since the end of last year. With a new plot, a cast of famous actors and the director of the hit, “Man from U.N.C.L.E.” (2015), this one is definitely a must-see.

“Alien: Covenant” — Now in Theaters

Decades after the release of “Alien” (1979), director Ridley Scott returns with an intense new thriller that is both a prequel to “Alien” and a sequel to the wildly popular “Prometheus(2012). This movie is sure to make you jump out of your seat more than once, while also expanding on an already highly developed cinematic universe.


“Baywatch” — Now in Theaters

Based on the ever-so popular TV series from 1989, this movie, filled to the brim with famous stars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario, is sure to make a “splash” in theaters this summer.


“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales— In Theaters May 26

The fifth installment of this series, filled with idiotic pirates and fast-paced sea warfare, is sure to be another popular movie this summer. This movie is perfect for all ages and is definitely a movie to check out this summer.


“Wonder Woman” — In Theaters June 2

After the relative failure of “Batman v. Superman” (2016), DC Comics is trying to jump back on their feet with this flying femme fatale. This butt-kicking super-heroine movie is filled with high-paced action but also an interesting and important plot that might help DC’s ratings rise again.


“Cars 3” — In Theaters June 16

The third installment of this family-friendly franchise is sure to be a hit this summer, drawing in audiences of all ages to enjoy its witty comedy and lovable characters. With a new, suspenseful story about the famed Lightning McQueen’s fall from grace, this movie is expected to top the box office.


“Spider-Man: Homecoming” — In Theaters July 7

Many people seem to be annoyed that Spider-Man is brought back to the big screen time and time again. But this reboot is looking to be one of the best ones yet. With multiple connections to the Marvel cinematic world and a great cast, including Donald Glover, Michael Keaton, Zendaya and more, this movie is sure to be a smash hit this summer.

This movie tells the heroic story of the Allied forces’ escape from the city of Dunkirk after being surrounded by German troops in World War II.
