Tennis:
Senior Tess Weber & Junior Alex Nazaire won at Nationals with their Junior Team Tennis team on the weekend of Oct. 23 in North Carolina.
JV & Varsity Cheer:
On Nov. 2, JV & varsity cheer teams both placed 3rd at the County Championships held at Marriotts Ridge High School.
Varsity cheer competed in the State Semi-Finals on Nov. 5 at Harford Community College. The Vikings placed 21st out of the 24 teams at the competition.
JV Girls’ Soccer:
JV girls’ soccer won 11 games this season. Eight of the 11 games were shutouts. They scored a total of 65 goals. Eighteen of the 22 active players, including both goalkeepers, scored at least one goal. Defensively, the team only allowed only four goals.
Varsity Boys’ Soccer:
The varsity boys’ soccer team won 4-2 against Glenelg on Nov. 2. At the Sectional Finals against Centennial High School, the Vikings defeated the Eagles 2-1. Boys’ soccer became the 3A Regional Champions after they won 3-1 against Chesapeake High School. The Vikings will play at Linganore High School against Towson High School in the State Semi-Finals on Nov. 12 at 2:30 P.M.
Varsity Volleyball:
The varsity volleyball team became Co-County Champions along with Howard High School after their victory against River Hill High School on Oct. 27. The girls won 3-1 against Centennial High School in the Section Finals on Nov. 9. The Vikings will host the Regional Championship against Atholton on Nov. 11 at 5:30 P.M.
Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country:
The State meet for girls’ and boys’ cross country will be held on Nov. 12 at Hereford High School. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams placed fourth in the 3A Regional meet at Centennial High School.
