Week of 2/15:

Boys’ Basketball (6-10, 9-10):

The boys’ basketball away game on Tuesday against Glenelg was cancelled due to snow.

Mt. Hebron won 57-45 against Marriotts Ridge on Wednesday. Senior Lance Madden and sophomore Cleveland Horton led the team with 18 and 17 points, respectively.

On Friday, the Vikings lost to Hammond 69-55

Girls’ Basketball (8-8, 9-9):

On Wednesday, the Vikings defeated Marriotts Ridge 46-43 at their away game. Junior Shane Devine led the team with 20 points, while senior Peyton LeConte and freshman Meredith Williams made clutch plays in the last 46 seconds to help seal the Vikings’ victory.

Girls’ basketball defeated Hammond 54-46 during their home game on Friday. Leconte led the team with 12 points.

Boys’ Indoor Track and Field:

The MPSSA State Championship 3A Boys’ Indoor Track and Field meet was canceled on Tuesday due to snow. It is postponed for Feb. 23.

Girls’ Indoor Track and Field:

The Vikings’ State Championship meet was canceled due to snow on Tuesday. It will now be held on Feb. 23.

Wrestling:

Wrestling finished eighth with 93 points at the Howard County Championships tournament at River Hill on Friday and Saturday. Junior Jimmy Hayden finished 3rd in the 138 lb Championship, senior Eloy Flores finished 4th in the 145 lb Championship, and junior Nick Nordhausen finished 1st in the 220lb Championship.
